Special Education students whose IEP indicates transportation is necessary will receive transportation services. Transportation is provided as curb-to-curb service. This is defined as bus pick up and drop off at the curb in front of the student’s home, daycare provider, and school.
Parents are to communicate directly to First Student Hopewell Transportation any last minute absences, one-time changes, or planned vacations. Leave a message after hours and clearly stating your child’s name, your telephone number, the exact change needed, and the reason for the call/change.
We are aware that parents and students develop a rapport with their driver. However, First Student Hopewell Transportation drivers are not allowed to deviate from the specific route unless a Transportation Request Form has been completed and submitted by the Assistant Director at your student's school; the Assistant Director is happy to process all your transportation concerns, inquiries and changes. Please note, changes in transportation including address changes will take 5 full business days to process and implement.
Transportation emergencies should be phoned in directly to our offices at 630-827-4431.
