Returning Student Registration

Online registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens July 9.

Families will receive an email with registration instructions mid-June, as well as a reminder that registration has opened on July 9. Register online using Skyward. Students should be registered by August 1.

Please note: All students currently enrolled in the John Schroder Early Childhood Center (who will be returning to JSECC for the upcoming school year) must complete online registration but will NOT pay any registration fees.

New for 2025-2026: Registration Notices Will Be Sent Digitally

District 44 is moving to digital registration notifications for current families. In the past, notification letters were sent via mail. This year, information will be sent by email and text messages.

What does this mean for you?

Look for an email and text message from District 44 around June 20 with instructions on how to complete registration. Please note: Skyward will be unavailable from June 11-18 for upgrades.
Another email and text message will be sent on July 9 to let families know that online registration is open.
Families that need to confirm residency will get instructions from their schools on how to do so.

Online registration opens July 9, and all families must complete registration by August 1.

Residency

Residency must be verified for first-time enrolling students and annually for families who currently rent, change address, or have an affidavit.
Parents/guardians of District 44 students who attend Out of District, CASE CoOp, and SASED must confirm residency each year.
Contact your building secretary for the Verification of Residency form.
Appointments are required to prove residency and may be arranged by contacting your building secretary.
Walk-ins are discouraged.

If you have a returning District 44 student and require in-person registration assistance for payment of fees/fines, we ask that you complete and submit this Student Registration Help Desk Google Form.
- Requests sent between June 19 - August 1, 2024 will receive a reply with further instructions from a District 44 staff member. Walk-ins are discouraged.
- After August 1st, please contact your home school with any questions as secretaries will be back in the office from summer break.
