We are excited to work with you to complete the Lombard District 44 registration process. Please click the dropdown below that pertains most to you.

New Student Registration During the School Year

Families who are new to the district during the school year will need to contact the secretary of their home school (school of attendance based on address) for registration assistance and appointments. Walk-ins are not encouraged.

New Student Registration During Summer Break

Beginning June 1st, Registration packets for families new to the district are available for pickup 24/7 from outside Door 1 of their neighborhood school (Door 14 in the north parking lot at Butterfield Elem). The required registration forms are included in this packet.

Our school building secretaries are your go-to for registration. That being said, our school offices are closed for summer break from June 19 - August 1. If you need registration assistance, please contact them prior to June 19 or after August 1.

If you have questions in the meantime, you can complete the Student Registration Help Desk Google form linked here. The secretary will reach out to you after August 1 upon their return. The form will no longer be available after August 1.

Required Documents

Parents/guardians of new students must present the following documents to their home school to enroll their child.

Three total proofs of residency:

One of the following for the residence at which the student(s) reside(s):

- A current property tax bill showing parent/guardian as the owner
- A current mortgage statement showing the parent/guardian as the owner
- An original, signed and dated current lease (signed by landlord/management company) on an annual basis

PLEASE NOTE: The board of education has a policy stating if a pupil's change of residence is due to the military service obligation of the person with legal custody of a student, he/she may, with a written request from legal custodian, maintain his/her residency as determined prior to the military obligation.

Two of the following showing the address for the residence at which the student(s) reside(s):

- - Current gas, water or electric bill
  - Driver's license
  - Public aid
  - Vehicle registration
  - Receipt from moving van rental
  - Current homeowner's/renter's insurance policy and payment receipt

Legal Custody/Guardianship Documents:

If there are any legal documents pertaining to custody of the student, you must provide a copy of that documentation. This includes divorce decrees and temporary legal guardianship papers.

Signed Illinois Transfer Form:

Required if the student is transferring from an Illinois public school.

Student's original birth certificate with embossed seal:

Students entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the school year for which they are being enrolled and must present an original birth certificate with an embossed seal.
