2020-2021 New Student Registration Documents

Please email your school secretary for registration assistance during the school year.

Online registration is for returning students only
and is open June 1st through early-August. 

 All registrations are to be received or postmarked by August 1st and a $20 late fee will be applied to registrations and payments received after August 12th. 

The majority of 2020-2021 registrations for returning elementary and middle school students can be accomplished online and begins June 1st. Skyward Family Access Login information will be mailed home the beginning of June.

Information about 2020-2021 in-person summer registration packet/payment pick-up and drop-off for new students or other registration assistance (including Spanish assistance) is still pending due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please refer to the District 44 website or utilize the help form conveniently placed on the homepages of District 44 and all schools. 
If additional assistance is required, please submit questions to schools via the email link on the school website rather than voice mail.

District 44 school breakfast and lunch program information will be available mid-June on the D44 Student Registration website.

In the beginning of August, building secretaries will resume processing registrations and assisting with needs other than registration. Please refer to the district and school websites or utilize the help form conveniently placed on website homepages for additional assistance.

Parents/guardians of new students must present the following documents to their home school to enroll their child:
Three proofs of residency:
  • One of the following for the residence at which the student(s) resides:
      • A current property tax bill showing parent/guardian as the owner
      • A current mortgage statement showing the parent/guardian as the owner
      • A letter of residence
      • A current, original signed lease showing the parent/guardian as the tenant (on an annual basis)
 
    • Two of the following showing the address for the residence at which the student(s) reside: 
      • Current gas, water or electric bill
      • Driver's license
      • Public aid
      • Vehicle registration
      • Receipt from moving van rental
      • Current homeowner's /renter's insurance policy and payment receipt
 
  • Legal Custody/Guardianship Documents - If there are any legal documents pertaining to custody of the student, you must provide a copy of that documentation. This includes divorce decrees and temporary legal guardianship papers. 
  • A signed Illinois Transfer Form if the student is transferring from an Illinois public school.
  • The student's original birth certificate with embossed seal. Students entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the school year for which they are being enrolled.

K-5 New Student Registration Documents 2020-21
