Mrs. Katherine Ostrander was officially approved as the principal of Butterfield School to begin at the start of the 2021-2022 school year. Mrs. Ostrander has spent the last year serving the Butterfield community in her role as an administrative intern, forging critical connections with students, staff and families during that time.
Mrs. Ostrander has a long history with District 44 having first started as a young teenager and providing support during the summer months. She was a teacher at Park View for 16 years before being selected to serve in the administrator internship program throughout the duration of this school year.
“District 44 has always been a special place, and I am very excited to view Butterfield School as my permanent home. I look forward to further building upon my relationships and connections with our community,” Mrs. Ostrander said.
“Mrs. Ostrander has done an outstanding job this school year, and I am excited that she will continue serving the students, staff and families of Butterfield School. She is a strong leader, excellent communicator and valued member of our leadership team,” said Superintendent Dr. Ted Stec.
