Lombard District 44 will, again, be offering an optional Human Growth and Development program for 4th and 5th grade girls and their parent(s)/guardian(s) on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 6:30-7:30pm.
This informative evening covers menstruation, hygiene, and physical and emotional changes commonly experienced in puberty. The program includes the video “Always Changing,” an opportunity to preview various personal products appropriate for your daughter’s age, and a facilitated discussion with a Q & A about menstruation. Although some of the content in this program is included in the fifth grade curriculum, the school nurses work hard to ensure that this more in depth program will offer opportunities to answer many questions girls have at this age about the changes they are experiencing or are about to experience.
