Important Technical Reminder:
You will need to ALLOW POP-UPS in your web browser. This software cannot function without a pop-up window. In order to allow the pop-ups to occur, you may need to check with your help menu in your web browser to understand the process to allow pop-ups. |
![]() When you first login to Skyward Family Access, the system will ask you to give your e-mail address. This e-mail will only be used by your child's teachers or the school to communicate with you. By adding your e-mail, you will be able to use the Message Center feature of this software.
It is also important to change your password to something that you will remember. In the General Information area, you will find links to: -Calendar -Student Information -Gradebook -Message Center -Attendance -Schedule -Test Scores -Activities -Login History You may click on any of these links to get information about your child. There are screen shots below to give more explanation for the calendar and grade book sections. For the Student Information section, you will notice that there is a button to update information such as cell phone numbers, telephone numbers, etc... When you submit a change to this system, your information will need to be added to the system by a building secretary. You will not see the changes activate right away. Since this is a pilot, the building secretaries will be learning their new job to check for changes regularly. If you have any questions with this area, please contact your building secretary. The Attendance section will give you information on absences, types of absences, and tardies. If there are any questions, contact the building secretary in charge of attendance. Test Scores will include some of the large assessments we use in the district such as the Illinois ISAT test. A web page is under construction to help you translate these test scores. We hope to have it available for your viewing soon. The login history tracks the number of times you enter the system. |
![]() | The calendar view will provide information about: -Assignments -Grades on assignments -Activities at school -Important events to remember -Absences and tardies -Messages |
![]() | This is the elementary view for grades. Since the elementary students use a Standards-based Report Card, the screen will look different than the screens for the middle school students. The 5th Graders at Manor Hill will have a lot of detail showing the main subject grade, the code for the sub-sections, and the grades for the assignments. Scroll down to see all of the subject areas for elementary students. You will also find tabs at the top of the page for Missing Assignments and Comments from the Report Cards. Click on these tabs to look at additional information. |
![]() | The Gradebook section will show the midterm and quarter grades for Glenn Westlake Middle School. You will notice that the quarter grades for the middle school are bold and underlined. You can click on the grade to drill down into the assignments and grades that were averaged to create the final grade. You can also click on the teacher's name to communicate with your child's teacher. You will also notice two other tabs at the top of this window. One tab shows the Missing Assignments and one tab illustrates the Comments written on the report cards. |
![]() | This is what the grades will look like at the middle school when you click on the quarter grade. This window will show you the assignment grades and progress your child is making in each subject area. |
